From Viking Cruises
The Viking Orion is Viking Cruises' fifth in a series of 10 nearly identical ships. This vessel debuted in Livorno, Italy in June, 2018, where it was christened in front of hundreds by retired NASA astronaut Anna Fisher. Fisher used a Viking axe to slice the red ribbon atop the ship's bow.
Similar to Viking's other four ships -the Star, Sea, Sky and Sun- Viking Orion is a 930-passenger vessel that features free shore excursions, Wi-Fi, and wine and beer with lunch and dinner. Orion will first sail the Mediterranean before heading on to Asia, Alaska and Australia.
