1. Lake Bled, Slovenia

Although Lake Bled is increasing in popularity, it is still relatively unknown compared to other famous European landmarks, like Big Ben in London or Rome's Colosseum. Photos simply do not do it justice. The lush surroundings, emerald waters and mountain backdrop make a visit to Lake Bled feel like stepping into a postcard. Bled is a great destination for outdoor lovers, boasting scenic hiking trails and a variety of water sports.

2. The Camargue, France

Know as the“Wild West of France,” The Camargue region is a nature lovers paradise. The Camargue covers more than 900 square kilometers and is home to over 400 species of birds, tree frogs and the renowned Camargue Horses and Camargue Bulls.

3. Rakotzbrücke (Rakotz Bridge), Kromlau, Germany

The Rakotzbrücke or "Devil's Bridge" was created in the 19th century and was designed as a half circle made to be completed as a whole by the water's reflection. This iconic story book bridge is located roughly two hours away from Berlin in Saxony, Germany's picturesque Kromlau Park. The drive is well worth it for anyone wanting to step back in time and explore this midieval fairytale location, take photos and stroll the lakeside trails.

4. Oia, Santorini, Greece

The sun-soaked beaches, white-washed buildings and twinkling blue sea make the Greek Isles an idyllic place to unwind. This popular cruise destination is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities and is also one of its most charming, especially during the holiday season. Split your time wandering the cobblestone streets, ice skating at the Christmas markets, and warming up with mugs of Belgian hot chocolate in cafes.

6. Tunnel of Love, Klevan, Ukraine

Located just outside the city of Klevan, Ukraine, the Tunnel of Love is a 3 kilometer long railway surrounded by lush green trees. The Tunnel of Love is said to be one of the most romantic spots on earth and attracts many couples and newly weds . It's believed that lovers who make it through the tunnel will be granted a wish. The best time to visit is in Spring and Summer but the tunnel is beautiful when the leaves change color in autumn, as well as after the snow falls in wintertime.

7. Jökulsárlón, Iceland

Iceland is a country known for its extreme beauty and natural wonders: Glaciers, active volcanoes, black-sand beaches, geothermal lagoons and majestic waterfalls. Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull, flows into the lagoon and forms icebergs. This was also the site where several scenes from the James Bond movie Die Another Day were filmed.

8. Trolltunga, Hordaland, Norway

Trolltunga is a scenic rock formation that is situated roughly 1,100 metres above sea level and offers one of the most spectacular views in all of Europe. Outdoor entusiasts flock to Norway due to its rugged mountains and breathtaking landscapes. Up to 500 people make the 22km hike towards Trolltunga every day.
