Explore the Galapagos Islands for your next vacation itinerary

If the overwhelm of choosing a destination, activities, hotels, and restaurants  is what's stopping you from booking your next trip, then it's time for an adventure. See for yourself why the Galapagos Islands' mystery has stood the test of time and continue to intrigue explorers.

Only five of the islands have human populations: Isabela, Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Baltra, and Floreana. The remaining islands are inhabited only by animals and can only be accessed on guided tours.

An adventurous itinerary with knowledgeable experts, guides & all the comforts of luxury hospitality may just spark the travel inspiration you needed.

Where are the Galapagos Islands?

While the Galapagos Islands, 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, are estimated to have formed around four to five million years ago, human contact with this remote archipelago is much more recent. The Galapagos Islands are uniquely located on both sides of the equator in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

As one of the biggest islands in the archipelago, and the most populous, Santa Cruz offers a wealth of contrasting experiences. As the main population center of the islands, the little town of Puerto Ayora presents a different face of the Galapagos, too. Here, humans share their space with animals, and there’s a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere

These islands offer an abundance of natural wonders and wildlife, including giant tortoises, sea lions, and countless bird species that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. In addition, the islands are far enough away from each other that both plant and animal species could not easily migrate, and over time adapted to their environment, with several becoming endemic to a specific island.

How to get to the Galapagos

While it may not be easy to get to the Galapagos Islands- it is worth it. The journey makes it the perfect milestone occasion celebration. Even with large group like wedding party or family reunion, a cruise is one of the easiest ways to all travel the world together.

Your cruise to the Galapagos Islands is also a great excuse to visit the mainland of Ecuador. Typically your cruise will depart from Quito or include neighboring countries like Peru. Your itinerary can be as long or adventurous as you chose.
