Coming In 2023, Viking Saturn Is An Intimate Ship With New Itineraries.

The newly announced Viking Saturn from Viking Cruises will join the company’s award-winning fleet in early 2023. Welcoming only 930-guests per voyage, this intimate ship will begin her maiden season with new itineraries in Scandinavian and Nordic countries.

Viking's Nordic heritage is best captured throughout this new ship, Viking Saturn. Step aboard and you will notice the Swedish limestone, light wooden floors, and traditional Longship areas throughout the Saturn. Vikings were known for their exploratory spirit and the Heritage Center onboard is a great place to learn more about the Viking Age. Of course we can't forget about Norse Mythology, accented throughout the design of the ship, and available to explore more in the heritage center.

New To Viking Saturn

There are a variety of new and exciting features on Viking Saturn, from relaxation and recreation to dining and excursions. If relaxing in the sun sounds like a good option to you, take advantage of the two different pool choices. In addition to the main pool offered with a retractable roof, the Infinity Pool off the stern is a great way to view the surrounding area.

"These new itineraries are ideal for curious travelers and trace routes of the early Viking explorers to Iceland and other North Atlantic destinations known for their natural beauty. We look forward to welcoming Viking Saturn to our fleet and to offering guests even more ways to explore this unique part of the world in comfort.” Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking.

The LivNordic Spa is another great feature coming to Viking Saturn, with Scandinavian holistic wellness a key point in every treatment and experience. Sauna and Snow Grotto rituals await, as well as traditional therapies such as massages and facials. The Wintergarden is a great spot to relax after your spa treatment, featuring an elegant space to enjoy afternoon tea service.

Dining onboard Viking Saturn brings the same high quality, innovative cuisine from every Viking Voyage. Offering eight dining options, all with no additional charge, you will enjoy a variety of culinary options. From fine dining in The Restaurant to the classic Pool Grill, there is something to match your comfort level at every meal. Our personal favorite is The Chef's Table, which offers a multi-course menu with wine pairings.

Whether you plan to wind the night down or kick it off right after dinner, the Explorer's Lounge is a great place to start. Enjoy a cocktail with friends or enjoy a book as you remember your time at port.

NEW OCEAN VOYAGE!

15-Day Reykjavík To New York City

VC_BI2_10.26.21Iconic Iceland, Greenland & Canada

Voyages available May - August of 2023

Starting at $6,699pp

The striking beauty of Iceland, Greenland, and Canada are complimented by the luxury experience onboard Viking Saturn. The Westman Islands bring a volcanic landscape to take in, and Djúpivogur brings a relaxing day at shore. Along with learning the history of Vikings onboard, continue your lesson ashore in the New World in Qaqortoq and L’Anse aux Meadows.

Featured Port: Westman Islands (Heimaey), Iceland

The scenery in Heimaey is unmatched, with its volcanic landscape and sharp clifftops. This landscape was created by the volcanic eruption that occurred in 1973, which evacuated all 5,000 residents at the time. One amazing part of this island is the puffin migration! Millions of puffins make their way to the island to feed and breed, and the island has played a crucial role in the conservation of these birds and various other creatures.

An Excursion To Try: Beluga Whale Center & Bay By Boat

This excursion is such a unique experience! Travel to the Beluga Whale Center and learn about the conservation efforts of this island to help formerly captive Beluga Whales. The Sea Life Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary helps to provide these whales with a safe and natural environment. Start with a tour of the visitor center and aquarium, and get an up close look at the Puffin Rescue Center. Then you will board a small boat and ride out to the far end of the sanctuary, where you can admire the beluga whales from a respectable distance.
