Are you looking for a travel movie to inspire your next holiday?

With social distancing in full force and sheltering in place becoming mandatory across the nation, hunkering down at home has become the norm. Whether Netflix-ing with wine, or living room movie nights with the kids, our “new normal” will certainly help flatten the curve, but still allow us to keep dreaming about the world we took for granted just a short while ago, especially with these entertaining travel related movies.

We took a census from our travel advisor network to find out what their favorite travel movies are and seeing that everyone is in the same boat, some were inspired to re-watch some of their favorites during this unprecedented time. Since most of us our house-bound playing teacher and travel advisor, the MVT team is traveling via our favorite wanderlust films.

The power of film certainly doesn’t replace the act of breathing in exotic new senses and fully experiencing a destination but it sure does inspire you to dream. And once you start dreaming, your journey has officially begun. You have now commenced planning for your next trip! All thanks to classic and iconic films like Out of Africa or ones that remind you of your own family holiday filled with mishaps and laughs such as National Lampoons European Vacation.

Below, take a look at our favorite travel movies that will inspire your next adventure:
